Born and raised inside the Atlanta perimeter, Tommy had a love for cars that started at a young age. He began his automotive career at the age of 17 working at Blalock’s Body Shop in Avondale Estates, Georgia. After working 34 years in the auto collision repair industry as both a body technician and painter, he opened SSR Collision in Cumming, Georgia, in July 2010. He worked tirelessly in this field to repair and paint cars always striving for quality workmanship. He enjoyed building relationships with customers and truly understood the value therein. He made customers for life who often stopped by just to chat or bring him vegetables from their garden. He was more than just the shop owner, he was a friend. He was always supportive of the local schools and was honored to paint a truck for West Forsyth High School’s production of “Hands on a Hard Body.” He was a generous and caring man who taught many friends and relatives the automotive collision industry. He left behind a wonderful legacy of quality work, outstanding customer service, and friendship. We continue to carry on his legacy in everything we do at SSR Collision.
